Step-by-Step with Step by Step
Step by Step is thrilled to be a partner of Oath Home.
Step by Step is a regional charity that empowers young people and breaks the cycle of youth homelessness. After working in the housing sector for more than 30 years, we realised that in order to transform a young person’s circumstances, young people needed more than just a place to stay.
Therefore, Step by Step has three main pillars of work: accommodation, mental health support and personal development.
Our accommodation model, both Foyers and Supported Lodgings, supports young people aged 16-25 who otherwise would have no place to turn. All young people get to work with a STEP Worker (also known as a key worker) who will help them on their journey to realise their skills and talents and empowers them to progress.
Next, our Mental Health Support allows young people aged 11-25 to access free counselling that has a two-week turnaround time from referral to consultation. This is an extremely quick turnaround time, as opposed to 6+ weeks on other service providers. The dedicated staff team help young people to be seen before it reaches crisis point.
And last, but by no means least, is the training and development service which exists to teach young people basic life skills with a wider aim of supporting young people back into work, education, or training.
Our partnership with Oath Home will help strengthen our training and development programme whilst offering employment for young people in the future.
Jenna Grant, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Step by Step, says:
“We’re delighted to have a new partner in Oath Home! Their commitment to helping raise vital funds to help us achieve our mission is commendable.
I can only see great things happening over the next few years to come.
I’m extremely excited to work with such a kind, caring and passionate company! Thank you, Oath Home, for coming onboard as a Corporate Partner.”
